Welcome to my new blog: Kenai Currents

Well, if you have been following our website for any length of time, I am sure you have noticed that the look has changed. We hope things have transitioned for the better to a new and more modern look. The new site is based off a Word Press format that we are now able to maintain ourselves. That should translate into more pages, more current information and a better overall resource for you: the Alaska angler.

Although the core look to the site has been completed, we also plan to implement a number of new features including photo galleries, web specials, current Alaska and Kenai River related fisheries news, gear reviews and a number of other cool features all designed to help you learn more about Alaska Fishing. One primary method we will use to communicate new ideas, news or anything else we wish to share will be via our new blog. While the majority of the content on my blog will surely be fishing related, some stuff will just be interesting information about Alaska in general or even a post or two on hunting (my second favorite pastime). I guess I will reserve the right to post just about anything I find interesting and wish to share and I hope you are equally intrigued.

So, welcome to my blog. After 23 years we have been very fortunate to meet a variety of truly awesome people. My hope is that this blog will help these lifetime acquaintances stay connected to what’s happening here on the Kenai River and our world in general.

For lack of a better name, I will name my blog Kenai Currents, after our annual newsletter: the Kenai Current.

So without further adieu….blog on!
