Alaska Fly Out Fishing

awaUp, up and away.  An Alaska fly out fishing trip will take you away from the beaten path and into the middle of Alaska’s true back-country.  Since Alaska is one of the most vast wilderness areas in the world, only from the air can you appreciate its complexity and size and even begin to access its truly unique locations.  Our fly out fishing trips service primarily the west side of Cook Inlet but we also fly to a number of other remote fishing locations across the main Alaska Peninsula, remote Kenai Peninsula locations and even Kodiak and Afognak Islands. Depending on your fishing preference and budget, the sky is literally the limit with access to an Alaska float plane and an experienced pilot and guide.  Our flight service: Alaska West Air is an industry leader in remote fly out fishing and owners Doug and Danny Brewer are among the most respected and experienced bush pilots in our region.  Their incredible fleet of turbine powered Dehaveland Otters and Beavers is second to none assuring your trip into Alaska’s wilderness is a smooth, safe and state of the art experience. We offer two levels fly out fishing daily:

*A Full day drop off trips include destinations like Big River Lake (Wolverine Creek), Chuitna River, Kustatan River, Crescent Lake/River and Buchatna Creek. -and-

*An All day Charter would include destinations like the Nushagak or a multi destination day where the plane and pilot stays with you the entire time. To ensure safety and a trouble-free journey, all of our Alaska fly out fishing tours include an experienced guide and boat and round trip float plane transportation through Alaska West Air. All necessary gear for the tour is provided for you. You simply need to provide: warm clothes, rain gear, fishing license and a lunch. fly in silver salmon fishing 2 *All of our fly out trips include an experience guide and boat (when necessary) and round trip float plane transportation provided by Alaska West Air. All necessary gear including but not limited to all fishing gear, waders, bait, tackle, etc…is provided for you. All you need to provide is warm clothes, rain gear, fishing license and a lunch.  We clean your fish as part of every trip and we will then direct you to our processor in Soldotna to have your catch vacuum sealed, frozen and boxed for shipment or transport on the airlines. Not Sure where you want to go? No worries, leave that to us! With remote fly out fishing, opportunities are endless but they change greatly throughout the summer. While it is ok to plan for a particular destination, we prefer to confirm the final destination for most day trips the night prior. We can then take into account all the latest fishing reports and information from all the locations we fish, and recommend the best place(s) to go. Keep in mind even though you will be visiting a very remote and wild part of Alaska, on most day trips you will definitely not be alone.  Some of the more popular locations such as Wolverine Creek and the Kustatan will see upwards of 10,000 visitors a season primarily coming from three major flight services based on the Kenai Peninsula. One of the primarily reasons these locations are so popular is they are awesome places to visit and they are within a short flight distance from the Kenai and the road system.  They are places one can expect to see a bear and catch lots of salmon and the scenery is outstanding.  Yes there will be other people but rest assured you will know you are in remote Alaska, away from any roads or civilization and truly in the wilderness.
