Kenai River Alaska Fishing

Overview of the lodge Welcome to the crown jewel of Alaska Fishing, the magnificent Kenai River. Located just three hours south of Anchorage, the Kenai is the perfect place to base your next Alaska Fishing Vacation. Kenai Guides has been providing high quality guided fishing trips on both the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers as well as salt water fishing from Homer, Deep Creek and Seward, for the past 23 years. We also offer daily fly out fishing to more remote locations on the west side of Cook Inlet and beyond. Whether you’ve been to the Kenai many times or are planning your first trip, we can help you make the most of your vacation. From single travelers to large corporate groups, Kenai-Guides will make sure your Alaska fishing adventure is safe, successful and fun!

.HomeOur main lodge and cabins are located five miles upriver from the town of Soldotna, Alaska. We have several fully furnished vacation homes of our own and we also rent a number of other privately owned residences close by, many also on or near the Kenai River. All of our lodging and fishing guests enjoy exclusive access to our 2+ acres of Kenai River Frontage for fishing on their own or just relaxing on the riverbank.

While the Kenai River is mostly known for its larger than average king salmon, the Kenai and surrounding Kenai Peninsula waters also offer world class salmon fishing for sockeye, silver, and pink salmon as well as steelhead trout. In addition to the salmon and steelhead, the Kenai is also home to a world class trophy trout fishery where rainbows over the thirty inch mark are not uncommon.

In addition to all these spectacular fresh water fishing options, the Kenai Peninsula is also adjacent some of the most prolific salt water fisheries in all of Alaska. Excellent bottom fishing opportunities for halibut, ling cod as well as rockfish abound in coastal waters outside Homer, Seward and Deep Creek. Certain times of the season also offer the opportunity to fish for both halibut and salmon in the same trip and this is a great chance to really fill up the freezer.

I just want say thanks again to the both of you (Mark and Cindy). I realize an operation like yours takes time away from your family at times and requires some attention to detail. You took extremely great care of us and we always felt that we knew what was going on and what to expect the following day...It was an incredible experience and I will recommend the Glassmaker name to everyone I know interested fishing in Alaska."
